I'm sad, too, Caryl. This has been a hard year for a lot of people, and I for one am happy to see it go.
I'm not one to give advice, but we'll be okay. Sit with whatever crap is going on, cry it out as much as you need to, and then take a nap. It will be over soon. Right?
Thanks, you guys. It really does help to hear from you all.
Jake seems to be having some post traumatic stress. I'm taking him to a psychiatrist.
And, this may sound silly, but I was watching, "You've Got Mail" and at the end, they finally kiss. That was fine. But then Tom Hanks' dog grabs his coat in his teeth and gives it a playful tug and I burst into tears. I miss my stupid dogs.
Maybe you should get a new puppy? Is that totally out of the question? I know first hand dogs can be a challenge, but they can also bring a lot of comfort and joy. At least for me anyway. When no one else is around I can always depend on my little Dusty to be there and offer kisses and love. Can you tell I'm a sucker for animals? LOL
Caryl, I hope things go well for Jake. I too have been taking my daughter to a therapist and I think it has helped her. This has been the worst year of my life.. Like Julie mentioned above, I'll be glad to see this year end and start off fresh with the new year.
Hey, when you're feeling "down in the dumps", it's best not to watch sappy love stories.. I learned the hard way along time ago..haha.
Keep your head up girl.. we're bound to have better times ahead!
I second what tif says...absolutely NO sappy love stories! Period. Hell I can't even watch "Sex and the City" anymore!
Here's what I've found, and it's so silly but it makes me feel better:

Click on the "make me laff" button and it will seriously make you laugh your head off. Afterwards, even though your troubles are still with you, you feel better from the physical experience of a few good belly laughs.
I also watch really scary movies, but that's not for everyone...

I love this song.
BUT I'm so sorry you've got the blues, dear girl. Let it pass. You've had a lot of transition this year.
If it gives you comfort, you have many who love and adore you. I'm one of them. Hang in there.
xoxo
CW always knows how to word everything just right!
I agree, hang in there..

My husband doesn't want any more pets, but he's really a softee for a cute dog, so I'm thinking about asking for one for Christmas.
Thanks for being a good bud.
