Incubus

Now that the kids are out of the house, it's my turn to focus on what's important to me. I find this song inspiring as I set out to be more than someone's mom, someone's wife.

Sometimes, I feel the fear of
uncertainty stinging clear.
And I can't help but ask
myself how much I'll let the fear
take the wheel and steer.

It's driven me before and it seems to have a faint,
haunting mass appeal.
But lately I'm beginning to find that I,
should be the one behind the wheel.

Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there,
with open arms and open eyes, yeah.
Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there,
I'll be there....

So if I decide to waiver my
chance to be one of the hive
Will I choose water over wine
and hold my own and drive?

It's driven me before, and it seems to be the way
that everyone else gets around,
But lately I'm beginning to find that
When I drive myself my light is found.

Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there,
with open arms and open eyes, yeah.
Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there,
I'll be there....

Would you choose water over wine,
hold the wheel and drive...

Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there,
with open arms and open eyes, yeah.
Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there,
I'll be there....

Good luck on your journey to find you. You probably don't have too far to search.

Caryl, Life is filled with twists and turns, but somehow we always find our way. Its almost like a new begining with the kids both gone, take your time and find what makes you happy!

So the boys left behind some of their CDs? LOL I'm kidding you. My son loves their music. I do too. :-)

I think we women get sidetracked by the men we choose in our lives and we compromise ourselves a good portion of the time. Sad, but we really can't have it all. I found myself after divorce #2 and I like living the single life and making decisions for just ME. Your kids are, for the most part, out on their own and I'm glad you're feeling the urge to do more -- for you! Just pick a dream and go for it, Caryl; you're smart and witty, you can be anything you want to be. Don't give up.
