Humans Behaving Badly

Jasper National Park, June 2012

Wildlife is everywhere and anywhere in this park. Sometimes an animal will casually walk across the highway, in fact.

We were disappointed to see people getting too close to the Elk, Big Horned Sheep and even BEARS spotted along the side of the road:

I was afraid I was going to snap a photo of someone getting mauled, to be honest. Scary.

That is why the newspapers have stories about people being killed by animals... cause people are the stupid ones. Hi from NE!

The same thing happens in the Smoky Mountains when a bear is spotted near the road. I didn't like the way the tourists would swarm upon them, just like in your photos! Have a story about a mama & twin cubs but too long to tell here....

People just don't think of the consequences of going near wild life, they can turn in a second. When Great Adventure was more of a wild animal park back in th 70's went with a fella I was dating and these monkees were climbing on all the cars scared the crap out of me. But some guy decided to get out of his car to take pics they attacked it was a horrible site.
