..................."KELLY CLARKSON!!"

I happen to be a huge Kelly Clarkson fan. I always feel as though I have to apologize for that, because I'm a mature, grown-up type person and she's a pop tart. Here's my deep, intellectual response to that: *shrug* I likes what I likes.

Today I picked up Kelly's latest CD to see what all the fuss is about and I can see where Clive Davis would have reservations about it. It's not typical mainstream pop music. It's edgy. It's dark. It's fabulous. Give it a try.

So now that I revealed one of my musical guilty pleasures, tell us one of yours.

Barry White, man. Me love him long time. Even the disco stuff.

CW! Barry White is cool!

My guilty pleasures are many...KC and the Sunshine Band, the Grease soundtrack, the Carpenters, Barry Manilow... I'm a total music nerd at heart.

It's not kelly Clarkson you have to apologize for-it's Taylor Hicks ? Who's next- Sanjaya ? At least we all have something in common with Sanjaya - morning hair and every bad hair day. Oh, and great shower voices that ought to stay there.

The only nerd in this group is Dan! We'll bring you over to the Taylor side.

Hey, Paula Abdul had some damn fun tunes in her day. How's THAT for guilty???

And, yeah, CW, you get zero nerd points for Barry. I like Duran Duran for heaven's sake. And... Huey Lewis and the News!! Now that's some nerdiness!! Although, I guess my Huey fascination was probably a predecessor to Taylor cuz I'm a sucker for some good harp. Seriously, you gotta see Huey live. That boy can blow.

I can top you all, and I'm not proud of it. I happen to like the Carpenters. What was the name of that album, Dan? "Now and Then"?
