Bruce Springsteen- "I'm On Fire"

Here's a performance where the song is taken to another level by a bit of acting. It's often said that making the switch from emotive singer to actor isn't such a stretch because the greats are already acting when they show us what the lyrics make them feel.

Taylor Hicks seems interested in acting in the future. But, Taylor, before you take on a dramatic role, I want to see you act this song. (In my opinion, the sexiest song ever written in the history of music.) Though, I'm afraid if you acted as though you were quietly and desperately "on fire," the audience would spontaneously combust.

Do it anyway. I'm willing to risk it.

Sunny, You are right he is the boss. Many years ago while he was still playing the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, my brother used to go there alot, got to know him. Him and his wife went to a show I think back in 2002 somewhere around there. My sister-in-law wanted an autograph so they waited outside. When he came out he recognized my brother and they all went out for a drink afterwards!

JI: That's an amazing story. I mean, he's a rock LEGEND, not just a star.

Caryl, Kenzie, What blew my brother totally away is that he came over through the crowd, remembered his name, shook his hand and gave him a bear hug. My sister-in-law was a basket case, she thought he was pulling her leg that he knew him from his Stone Pony days. They just used to talk at the club and have a few drinks, but he remembered him!!

Sunny, No my brother and his wife did. We were supposed to go that night, but my son crashed on his dirt bike that day had a head injury and I wasn't comfortable leaving him.
