"Oh What a Night" by The Four Seasons

For Danny

It's not what you think. This was the theme song for "The Commack Clan", a group of us in high school who did everything together. (No wonder I rarely dated) It became our theme song after our first night at Lehigh University where we were visiting Danny for the weekend. Now that my Dad is gone, I think it's safe to add that grain alcohol was involved. But since my mother is still alive, I think I'll leave it at that. Enjoy!

They say that things happen for a reason and timing is everything...here I was getting ready to send the Commack Clan an email regarding our upcoming f-f-f-f-f-fiftieth (oy vey) birthdays - and there was this post....anyhow -be sure to read the email.

Cute idea with the pic, by the way!!

Caryl -Cool video -Loved the 70's afro do's ... However,I must object- I do believe our theme song was "Welcome Back" from Welcome Back Kotter. Perhaps that was earned from our second Lehigh trip?
We should all meet somewhere for a long weekend to celebrate our 5oth year together. If we start now -maybe it would actually happen. Just the girls -no kids husbands or significant others allowed. What does everyone think?

We need the rest of The Commack Clan to weigh in on this important issue. "Welcome Back Kotter" was, indeed, one of our songs. But was it THE song?

Wendy may be right that "Oh What a Night" was the theme of the first weekend and "Welcome Back Kotter" was the theme song of the second.

Where's Danny when we need him? Oh, that's right! It's his wedding night. Give him a couple of minutes and then I'm sure he'll be on the computer. (ha!)

He has changed many of the stories from the past anyway, so we can't trust his version.

The historian has returned from his one night honeymoon. Oh, and Caryl, for your information it didi not take a minute or so and I was not on the computer right after. We fell asleep right away!
The theme song from the first Lehigh visit was absolutely "Oh, what a night" and it had every bit as much to do with Lori, Wendy, Ann, Moe,Kathy and Caryl as it did with Joe Dille, Mark Scherer, Jeff Koch, Dave Jureller, John Ripoll and me. In the immortal words of Schultz from Hogan's heroes - "I know nothing !" The second visit was "Welcome back".
Caryl - yes, I was a schmuck but you wound up with a man far better than I could have been. For me love is wonderful the second time around. You are like a cousin, sister, best friend and if I was given the ability to pick all my friends all over again I would pick each and everyone of the "Commack Clan" or as my Mom called them "The Harem"
caryl- My version of stories do not change. I just expound upon the details dependent upon the particular parties I am sharing these stores with (All right are reserved. These stories can not be duplicated without.....)
Let's have a party !!! We need another poem.

Oh and Lori- what did you say that Caryl needed to remove ? BAD GIRL!
Love to all,

Danny (Yes I will always be plain ole Danny)
