Less blogging, more writing!

I'll probably start blogging only every other day for a while. I don't know how my fellow blogger, C&W does it, but she did say once that she never sleeps! (Check out her blog, she's brilliant. I have a link over on the left somewhere. It's called "Chicken and Waffles".)

I'm throwing the "schedule" out the window, except for "Taylor Tuesday". I enjoy writing that. In fact, I have what may be a killer entry in the works for this coming Tuesday, so be looking for that.

The reason I need to cut back is because I'm starting a writing class soon. Last year, when I was fortunate enough to make so many trips, I realized how much I enjoy discovering new places. I'm taking a course on Travel Writing. I think I can pull off the writing part, but they're supposed to teach me how to sell what I write. We'll see.

I'll still be here, just not every day. Love ya!

Can you tell me what you learn there? I'm currently writing some coughpornstoriescough that I would love to get published somehow. I know all that self-publishing stuff and might go that route, but I don't know where to start.

I think travel writing, when done well, is some of the greatest stuff out there. You can say so much about life via what you observe while traveling. Felicitations!

And about the blogging...though it takes up time, I find that it helps me with any other writing I'm doing cause it's totally free-form. It frees up my mind in other ways, too.

Yea, I think the blogging has been really helpful.

I don't know exactly what they're going to teach me. You should just do a google search for the type of writing you want to publish and you'll probably be lead to magazines or websites. Then click on "submissions".

I've never written anything on that particular subject :) , but the publications I've been in always have a word count that they're very strict about.

If you're talking book-length, I'm out! I can't think of a thing to suggest. Good luck!
